With the rapid advancement of drone technology, the battery housing, as a critical component protecting the power system, requires high-performance materials to ensure flight safety and reliability. Flame-retardant PC/ABS has become the preferred material for mid-to-high-end drone battery cases due to its exceptional properties.

While traditional metals are strong but heavy and difficult to process, standard plastics cannot meet strict flame-retardant standards. Qingdao Zhongxin Huamei’s flame-retardant PC/ABS combines the high rigidity of PC with the easy processability of ABS. Enhanced with specialized flame-retardant technology, it delivers superior performance in safety, lightweight design and production efficiency.

This material achieves UL94 V0 flame resistance, self-extinguishing quickly without molten drips, effectively preventing thermal runaway risks. Using eco-friendly halogen-free flame retardants, it is non-toxic and fully compliant with EU RoHS directives.

It offers outstanding impact strength (60–70 kJ/m2), heat distortion temperature above 110°C, and a density of only ~1.2 g/cm3, reducing weight by 30%–40% compared to metal and greatly improving endurance. It also features excellent weather resistance, ensuring stable performance across extreme temperatures and harsh environments.
